Mojave Rattlesnake, courtesy of Brad Birchfield. This snake is often confused with the Western Diamondback as their territories overlap in the Southwest. The Mojave is smaller and note that the white bands next to the tail tend to be twice as wide as the black bands. On the Western Diamondback the bands tend to be approximately the same width.
